According to the Iranian Studies Group, an independent academic organization at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), there are double the number of Iranian-Americans than reflected in the 2000 U.S. census, and the number is closer to 691,000, not the 330,00 reflected in this article. Iranians have become increasingly aware that there is much similarity between Republicans and Democrats when it comes to US foreign policy towards Iran, and the Middle East in general. It is high time that the Americans acknowledged the intelligence of the average Middle Easterner and stopped insulting not only them, but more importantly, the Americans.
